In the first half of 2026, KYIVKHLIB’s exports increased by 33% in value terms, while sales of Easter cakes in international markets doubled. Overall, the brand’s monthly export shipments reached 400 tonnes, with its supply footprint expanding to 34 countries.
ALVIVA GROUP, a leading player in Ukraine’s food industry, has announced the results of its export operations across the bakery, long shelf-life products, and dry confectionery categories under the KYIVKHLIB brand.
In the first half of 2026, exports of KYIVKHLIB products increased by 33% in value terms compared with the same period in 2025. In absolute terms, monthly export shipments reached 400 tonnes.
This growth was partly driven by the launch of exports of dry confectionery products under the KYIVKHLIB, Alviva, and Lagoda brands. This expanded the Group’s export offering and opened access to the shelves of leading global retailers.
Export geography and international retail networks
In the first half of 2026, the export map expanded to include new markets — Romania, Sweden, Morocco, Slovakia, and North Macedonia. Overall, KYIVKHLIB products are now exported to 34 countries worldwide, with the sales geography continuing to expand.
The increase in sales volumes was driven not only by an expanded product range in ethnic stores, but also by access to leading international retail chains. Today, KYIVKHLIB products are available on the shelves of such retailers as Lidl (the Baltic states and Finland), COOP (Sweden), Globus (Germany and the Czech Republic), Kaufland (Germany), Norfa (Lithuania), Żabka (Poland, selected locations), Linella and Nr. 1 (Moldova), among others.
Consumer trends and sales leaders
In response to global demand for natural ingredients and products with reduced sugar content (low-sugar / sugar-free), the Group is actively adapting its product lines to meet the needs of international consumers.
At the same time, in the first half of 2026, long shelf-life products (LSP) from KYIVKHLIB continued to enjoy the highest demand in international markets, with dried bread products (sushki) and gingerbread remaining the export sales leaders.
Festive bakery products also demonstrated record sales growth — export sales of Easter cakes doubled compared with 2025.
“For ALVIVA GROUP, international market expansion is an important step in the transformation and diversification of our business. However, global success always starts with a strong local foundation,” said Oleksandr Varavka, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ALVIVA GROUP. “Today, our own agricultural production covers approximately 10% of the Group’s needs, while the share of regional sales has increased to 37% over the past year. This strong position at home provides us with resilience, while scaling up exports generates capital for the modernization and development of our production facilities. Our goal for the next five years is to increase the share of international supplies to 25%, establishing exports as one of the key drivers of the business’s long-term stability.”
