ALVIVA GROUP launches a new bakery category in Ukraine — the British Sandwich line of sandwich breads under the КИЇВХЛІБ brand.
Maintaining its leadership in the toasted bread segment under the SUPER TOAST brand since 2021, ALVIVA GROUP became the first company in Ukraine to introduce a new category of specialized sandwich breads — British Sandwich — automatically securing a leading position in this segment.
The products in the new category are produced at LLC “Ukrainian Bakery House” in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. ALVIVA GROUP invested over 70,000,000 UAH in launching the new product line. The potential production capacity exceeds 1,000,000 packs of sandwich bread per month, and the current production line is operating at more than 50% utilization.
The range includes six products: “British Classic,” “Royal Multigrain,” “Rustic Whole Grain,” “Scottish Malt,” “English White,” and “Irish Grain.” Key features include a whole grain bread with the highest whole grain flour content on the market (36%) and breads containing sprouted grain flour (3.6%).
“Toast and sandwich breads are key drivers of the European bread market, showing impressive consumption growth. In particular, in the UK and Denmark, this segment grew by 44% in 2022–2023 alone. In Ukraine, where the category is still relatively small (5% compared to 15% in Europe), ALVIVA GROUP sees significant growth potential,” says Dmytro Danylovych, CMO of ALVIVA GROUP. “Thanks to investments in production automation and uncompromising product quality, the Group has maintained leadership in this category since 2021 with around 50% market share. The new line of sandwich breads is already on the shelves of all national retail chains.
A national advertising campaign “British Sandwich. Your sandwich, your rules” was launched in April 2025.
