Mobilization and the outflow of workforce abroad have already led to an increase in the number of job vacancies, a severe shortage of certain specialists, and a noticeable imbalance between job openings and available candidates.
In an interview for focus.ua, Ilona Pasechnyk, HRD of ALVIVA GROUP, spoke about how domestic businesses can overcome this challenging wartime period, where to find employees, and what strategies help retain them.
“Thanks to the strategy of systematic investment in training and the development of our internal talent pipeline, which we implemented long before the full-scale invasion, ALVIVA GROUP today has a well-established кадровий резерв (talent pool), including for skilled labor positions,” said Ilona Pasechnyk, HRD of ALVIVA GROUP. “An important element of this strategy is the ongoing training programs at our enterprises, which allow employees to advance to higher qualification levels and, accordingly, receive higher salaries. This approach significantly reduces workforce turnover and serves as a strong additional motivation for employees.”
Thanks to systematic investment in personnel development and the creation of a supportive working environment, the group — which unites more than 6,000 employees — today has one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry at less than 3%, and in 2024 paid more than 1.2 billion UAH in taxes and fees to the state budget.
